Have you ever felt the urge to justify your business?
This urge sometimes pops up when we try new things. It’s hard enough to make ourselves venture outside that nice, comforting zone of business routine. Then we get the added bonus of throwing that new project or piece of content out into the world and waiting.
Will it resonate? Will it fall flat? Will you look like an idiot?
It’s so easy to second guess yourself at this point! Especially if you’re a people-pleaser or if you struggle with perfectionism. That inner mean girl comes out and starts shouting at you to justify whatever it is you just tried out in your business.
Don’t listen to her! Your business is…your business, if you’ll pardon the pun. No one is out there with you taking risks, creating new things, being bold and daring. They don’t get the right to demand any explanations on why you tried this new thing or why you are doing anything, really.
Listen in to this podcast and tell me whether you can relate to feeling like you have to justify your actions in your business. How does that pop up for you? And how do you move past it?
